DeRIDDER SCARF outsprinted his opposition from the start, raced slightly wide and was all out to stall off JOE HASTE. The latter, slow to settle in stride, moved up along the inside to the stretch, was eased cut for the drive and was getting to the winner. REHEARSER raced wide and faltered after making a menacing rally entering the stretch. JAKABLOM improved her racing position steadily, but could not seriously threaten. MARYS TIME, unhurried in the early stages, was sent up between horses on the final turn, wore down the leaders inside the final furlong and drew well clear under brisk urging. COPIER had speed, saved ground to the stretch turn started drifting out and gave way readily when challenged. LIL FORST broke alertly but was immediately taken far back off the early pace, raced extremely wide while rallying on the turn and flattened out in the final drive. DUTCH GIFT found her best stride too. late. DEDUCTIBLE YOU was well placed but lacked a closing rally. EASTER HOUR broke tardily and was used up in reaching a contending position. POPPY DAY, restrained off the pace while saving ground, moved through along the inside when roused in the stretch to wear down CLAIRE DAUBER and won with something left. The latter had speed from the start, saved ground to the stretch, drifted out and gave way readily. TEE VEE came wide into the stretch and made up some ground. The latter came to the outside on the turn to make his bid and appeared to hang slightly in the closing stages. NEB JR. was well placed but faltered when called upon in the stretch. HENRYS DELIGHT passed only tiring horses. PAVOLD came back badly cut about his right foreleg. HOPE .HE DUS raced wide and tired. FRIEND JIM appeared unable to handle the going. LASTING TREAT flattened out after forcing the pace to the early stretch. RAINTREE was well placed but facked a closing rally. FIFE AND DRUM raced wide in an even effort. CHANSON started to advance after going a mile and while unable to menace the winner he was easily best of the others. FINAL PROOF was always far back and passed only tiring horses. CHUM was never a factor. COLONEL JETT was through early. EVAS TRANCE showed good early speed but pulled himself upfor no apparent reason after going five-eighths.
