Maryland Notes LAUREL, Md., April 30. Mrs. Harry K. Hickey had as her guest at the Laurel races on Saturday, Mario Lucolli, minister from the Italian embassy in Washington. Mrs. Hickey. and her husband recently returned from an extended trip through Australia and New Zealand during the winter months. Both were impressed with the quality of Australian racing and the condition of breeding farms down under. A tattoo crew from the TRPB is in the Maryland area and were at Pimilco on Saturday, Timonium on Monday, Bowie on Tuesday and clean up all stragglers on next Wednesday. All trainers with horses to be tattooed should contact George Walker who handles the foal certificates at all of the Maryland tracks. He is currently working in his office at the Laurelv track. Albert J. Lacoste was a belated arrival from Gulfstream Park with his nine-horse public stable. Included in the group are Pashpie, Junior Chic, Bakers Raider, Nother Speech, Happy Memories, Guy. Jim, Alpirio, Sleepy One arid Click Click.
