Dozen Middle Distance Racers Named For Sportsmans Littleman Handicap Cullerton, Reighs Lass, i Gammaw Will Be Shooting For Repeat Wins Monday SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., April 30. — The ,500 Littleman Handicap, at one and one-sixteenth miles, will feature the Monday card at Sportsmans Park. Twelve horses were named for the overnight handicap, which assures a full field of 10 starters. The two others are eligible in case of an overnight scratch. Among the dozen entered are a pair of two the View -horse couplings — Valley Farms Reighs Lass and Vain Vixen, and Mrs. Betty Venolas Bettys Beauty and Equimore. The others in the race are Mrs. Frank Munaos Cullerton, W. H. Bishops Red Wagon, P. G. Johnsons Dixie Spy, H. D. Maggios and J. J. Gregorys Tan-bark, H. P. Starks No Tricks, Inverwood Farms Light Brick, Wallace Strongs Practical, and A. Saucier and R. W: Cashs Gammaw. The Littleman Handicap, which was •named for the "little horse owner," will find three last time out winners going to the post. The trio who won their intial starts at the current meetings are Cullerton, successful on opening day when he beat seven other routers including Red Wagon, who also goes in Mondays feature. Reighs Lass turned in a sparkling performance when she won by eight lengths over Arigie in a seven-furlong event last Tuesday, while Gammaw triumphed by four over Stream Pattern in a seven-furlong effort on" the third day of the charity meeting. . J Equimores lone effort was in the ,500 Inaugural Day Handicap one week ago when he finished fourth after weakening in the stretch. Dixie Spy, Tanbark, Practical, Vain Vixen, and Bettys Beauty all went to the post during the first week of the meeting but were unplaced, while Light Brick and No Tricks are making their first start. Light Brick, who was unplaced in his first start here, came from Keeneland, and No Tricks won at Hot Springs in March.
