Res|»oiisful was gaining rapidly at the end. Herdsman, very green and swerving early, was going fast finally. Hill Top ran lorwardly throughout. Queen of the Hills, prominent for seven furlongs, tired as if short. Sans Souci II. tan in forward pursuit in the middle running, but tired linallv. Restigouche ran lapped on the leaders for six furlongs, then swerved all over the course and tired in the closing drive. Dreamer held forth in the rear :.ll the wav from a bad start.
