SHORTY, close up from the start, came through on the inside when entering the home stretch, then swung wide and forced ROI-TAN out at the eighth i»ost, but finished gamely and was going away at the end. then was disqualified for forcing ROI-TAN wide. ROI-TAN showed the most speed from the start, but was forced wide in the stretch drive and tired at the end. APPLE PIE raced close up and made a game finish. Won driving; second and third the same. SKEDADDLE escaped interference when going to the first turn and. racing close up in the early running, came to the ontside of the leaders and. finishing fast under good riding, beaded RULER and won drawing dear. PAT McGEE suffered from much interference on the first turn and was knocked off his stride, then made tip ground gradually and finished gamely. ALLFEY was crowded while rounding the far turn. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. HOLE OARS net a good pace, raced BOHY GUARD into defeat in the first half mile and rushed into a long lead when entering the home stretch, but had to be shaken up in the last sixteenth to withstand the rush of URSA MAJOR. The latter began fast and clear, but was taken back and Saved to the stretch, then came to the outside and finished fast and resolutely. CHINK improved his position fast in the last half mile and was racing fast at the end. BODY GUARD forced a fast early pace, but quit in the last quarter. REMEDY ran a good race. ST. PANDERA raced Into the lead soon after the start and, setting a great pace, under mild restraint, saved ground on the turns and was ridden hard in the last sixteenth to outfinisJi SIR HARRY. The latter began slowly, but worked his way up with a good display of speed and finished resolutely. SIPK.K-SEDE was hard ridden all the way and raced gamely to the end. RIP RAP ran poorly, but was given a poor ride and was not persevered with. CONTEMPLATE was much used In attempting to force the pace and tired badly. Overweights — Contemplate, 2 pounds.
