MOURN DEATH OF T. K. LYNCH TORONTO, Ont., May 30. News of the death of Thomas Kirby Lynch cast a deep pall of gloom over the Canadian turf colony today. The dean of American turf writers had been an annual visitor to eastern Canada and in later years, as his active work of covering the sport in Ontario and Quebec lightened, he spent his summers at his hunting lodge in northern Quebec. His counsel was eagerly sought by racing officials and horsemen in the country and few men in the sport had as wide a circle of friends.
