j ROCKINGHAM PARK NOTES S Rockingham patrons collected on four horses to show in the last race Thursday instead of the customary three. Judges posted the finish on the result board as Long Bit, " first; Camp Parole, second; and Sir Thomas third; with Black Hat fourth. That was how the track paid off. When the camera finish was brought to the track, officials, after the race, managing director Lpu Smith discovered an error by the placing judges had made Black Hat fourth instead of the third position, to which the horse was entitled. The show payoff for Black Hat is .70. He immediately announced that the officials of the New Hampshire Jockey Club had volunteered to "pay off all holders of show tickets on Black Hat at the expense of the organization. Influx of ticket holders started on the show windows today. Bocasette has been purchased from Harvey Campbell at private terms by "Pinky" Blackburn. Cleveland Putnam, of Vail, Arizona, owner of Ladysman, is highly enthused over the works of his handicap performer.
