PRINCE CONSORT, away poorly, saved ground while outrun to the stretch, responded readily when hard urged during the drive and was up to dispose of NEPAL in the last strides. The latter, in hand to the last quarter mile, moved up fast during the stretch run and, after taking command between calls near the finish, could not withstand the top one. REVEILLE went to the front early, made the pace to the final furlong, then faltered when challenged by NEPAL, RED ROCK lacked early foot but finished extremely fast. MENTHAPPY gave a good effort during the race, struck NEPALS heels immediately after the finish and, stumbling badly, lost rider. NO SKIS tired during the drive. MAGIC MOTION failed to stay when set down for the stretch run. NINTH RACE DETROIT — 1 1-4 Miles Horse. Straight. , Place.
