CANADIAN STABLES FOR CALIFORNIA RACING. The Klrkfield Stable and J. J. Walsh Send Bi Strings to Take Fart in Coast Events. Toronto, Ont., November 7. Toronto owners will be pretty well represented in the racing at Los Angeles this winter. The Klrkfield stable shipped twelve head for the City of the Angels on Saturday, and Mr. J. J. Walsh of this city sent on twenty-two last week from New York. The Kirkfield lot went" in charge of J. J. OFlaherty, who will race them during the winter. They were Charle3 El-wood, Mortlake, Cicely, Judge Nelson, Kamsack. Kirkfield Belle and Lord Rosslngton, besides the following yearlings: Chestnut filly, by Bridgewater Dingle. Bay filly, by Faverdale Southwlnd. Bay filly, by Griffon Miss Rye. Bay filly, by Dr. MacBride Rathleen. Bay filly, by St. Dory The Heroine. The first three youngsters have all shown quarters as good as 231 seconds. It is expected that most of the California lot will be disposed of, and only a few will be seen here again. The other Klrkfield horses, about twenty, will winter at Klrkfield. Mr. J. J. Walsh is the other Torontonian who sends a big string to Los. Angeles. His horses are trained by John R. Walker, who was for so long with Mr. Seagram. Almost all of his charges are yearlings, Mr. Walsh having bought nineteen youngsters at the various sales this summer. Following the California season the stable will be shipped direct to Toronto to await the opening of racing at Woodbine, and three or four head that have been left in New York will join them here. Johnny Walker is a very capable trainer, and with all this material, at his command it cannot be doubted that he will cut considerable figure in next years Woodbine results. Mr. Walsh is just now in town preparing for the winter in California.
