Lcxollne, running in his best form, took the feature purse after a rousing drive and finish to wear down Deutschland. The showing of Kdwin Gum, the favorite, was below par, and he was beaten off. The closest finish of the afternoon came in the third race when lat Dunnes I.ens, at odds-on, annexed the purse in the closing stride, in which he wore down Ovelando.
