Sloner Hill, favored by the ditlicult going and showing much speed, took a long lead at once and never left the result in doubt, winning as his rider pleased. Sister Polly ran a good race and was gaining steadily through the stretch. Cork Hill, repeatedly bumped and forced back sharply on the lower turn, rame with a rush in the last furlong and was best of the others. Young Stevens followed the winner closely to the stretch turn, where he tired fast. Xellette and Dapple Gold quit badly in the last quarter. Mint Boy, away slowly, ran poorly. Moscow Belle, away fast and favored at the start, dashed into a long lead after impeding the others on tlu- first turn, stood a hard drive gamely through the stretch and won a lucky victory. Heron ran a good race under weak riding. Vanen, forced wide most of the way, tired in the last quarter. Merrigo, hard ridden all the way, maintained her position well. Vista was in the worst going. Adrian tired in the last sixteenth. Albert Star suffered from much interference and can do much better. Ansonia was prominent for three-quarters. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Ovelando was much the best and appeared a certain winner to the last furlong but. under weak handling, was beaten out in the last jump. Marvel P., favored by the soft going,-forced the juice in the early stages, but quit as if short in the stretch. Moharib closed up a big gap steadilv and finished fast. Ironton ran fairly well. Lcxoline, hard ridden all the way, was a sufferer from interference, but gaining gradually through the stretch, wore down Deutschland in the closing strides. Deutschland showed superior speed, but began swerving in the stretch run, which cost him the race. Edwin Gum was badly outpaced for the first three-quarters and failed to show much speed in the stretch run. Miss Strome was a sharp factor in the early stages, but tired fast in the last quarter. Vansel, running in suddenly improved form and favored by the going, saved much ground on the stretch turn and came away fast in the stretch. Laura Clay, badly managed, showfcd the most early speed, but on the stretch turn was taken sharply back, then came again in the stretch and wore the others down for second place. Addax forced the pace most of the way and stayed well in the final drive. Ben Sand, weakly ridden, ran fairly well and was right there through the stretch. Macias moved into the lead after showing a good display of speed for a half and quit in the final drive. The others were badly outpaced. Fay also tired in the final drive. Moselle ran a bad race and can do much better. Posing will improve and was away too poorly to cnt much figure in the race. Dr. Spruill broke fast and liked the going, showed the most speed, but swerved badly in the last furlong when stronglv ridden. Charlatan had no mishaps and was prominent in the early stages, but tired. Trenola closed a big gap from a slow beginning and was going fast at the end. First Mason ran fairly well. Bellview quit after going three-quarters. Henry O., away slowly, .failed to improve his position much. The winner, entered for . was bid up to 00 by J. McCullough and hid in.
