GLORIO A LIKELY TWO-YEAR-OLD. The recent meeting at Seattle developed a likely two-year-old in Glorio, W. P. Fines brown colt, bv Galveston Cleodora. Glorio ran his lirst race at Oakland May 22. carrying the colors of I. Henrv and. linisbed eighth in a tield of nine. His second and last start at Oakland whs u week later under the colors or W. P. Fine, his present owner and trainer and he was beaten by Firestone. Raleigh. Turnaway and Gluckstern. Glorios lirst race at Seattle was in the Woodlands Handicap Julv 20. which he won by six lengths from Derives, Early Tide. Balnade, College Widow. Raleigh, Arthur Dyman. Crestou. Alice F. and Braggart. His time with 103 pounds up was 1:00. In the free Iiandlcan July 27 he duplicated his previous race in easily defeating- six of his former opponents in the same time with 109 pounds up. His last performance and third victory at The Meadows track was August 3, in a handicap, where he gave live pounds or more in weight to his tield, comprising the best at the track and scored an easy win in 1:01 with 113 pounds on his back. Jockey Rettig rode him in all three races. Glorio has repeatedlv and decisively defeated the colts which linisbed in front of him in his two starts at Oakland witli the exception of T. II. Williams crack two-year-old Firestone. The two will probably meet at Oakland this winter and a race or two with the Williams colt will afford an opportunity to get at the real worth or Glorio.
