Belle Strome lashed to the front at the start and set a fast early pace, but quit when Lee Harrison II. caught her. Blue Coat saved ground on every turn and was drlvin" hard at the end to stall off Alsono. Pohanka made never a move on Cloten and took him wide on every turn. Rifle Range ran well and was repeatedly bumped by the winner and cut off at the furlong post. Martin claimed foul, but it was not allowed. Oroba broke slowly and was on the outside all the way. Dominant was outrun at all stages, but closed a gap in the last quarter. Donna Mobile showed speed. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Butwell trailed along in the rear nearly all the way. Bob Murphy fell at the tenth jump. Merry Maker fell at the eighth.
