JOHN M. P. NOT BROKEN DOWN. The great English juniper, John M. P., has not broken down as numerous reports of as varied degrees of certainty have stated. He has been turned out on Ogontz Farm, in the suburbs of Philadelphia, for the winter. Howard Lewis, ."Ir., manager of the stable, says he advised Mr. Widener to retire John M. P. for the season as it was likely that the horse would break down if kept going. Lewis says he is the best jumper he ever handled and if lie takes kindly to training next spring, will be the best cross-country horse in the country.
