MAHER LEADS ENGLISH RIDERS. The American jockey, D. Maiier, still leads tiie list of riders in England in percentage, though W. Higgs, in the week which closed October 5, won eleven races and leads in winning mounts. Higgs rode 110 winners in 1000 and is likely to pass that total this year.
