Highland .neon, which was exported to Germany in 1895. is by Highland Chief, out of Mrs. Bardwell. by See Saw, out of Magdalene, by Syrian .Magdalene was also the dam of The P.ard, which ran second for Ormondes Derby, and as Highland Chief was likewise second for the big Kpsoin classic, only just beaten by St. Blaise, it is not surprising Unit Highland Queen should have produced a classic winner in Germany.
