05,000 OFFERED FOR VELOCITY. It is said on the authority of the Loudon Sporting Life, that an offer of 05,000 has been refused for the great Irish horse, Velocity. The offer is supposed to have come from Germany, and was after the development of a bad leg which showed after his victory in the Doncaster Cup. The injury prevented Velocity going to Paris for the 0,000 Prix de Conscil Municipal. Velocity is five years old, by Speed Ballast.
