EXTRA DAY ANNOUNCED AT GRAVESEND. Saratoga to Have Five Days of Racing Each Week — Stake List Made Public. New York. June 9. — The Saratoga Association today announced twenty-three stakes for its Augu: t meeting, entries to which will close June 21. In addition to this formidable list are four other closed fixed events of unimpaired value — the Splnaway. of 0,000 guaranteed, for two-vear-old fillies, the Hopeful, of ,000 added, the Travers and the Ala bama. The program of the Saratoga Association calls for five days of racing each week. According to a well-informed authority there will be three extra days of racing during the meeting. The Brooklyn Jockey Club has announced an extra day of racing for next Wednesday. The Coney Island Jockey Crabs program for the coining meeting at Sheepshead Kay is said to contemplate four days of racing each week. J. E. Madden has sold his two-vear-old. Beau Nash, to K. J. Mackenzie for ,500. The colt will be raced on the Canadian circuit and was ■hipped to Montreal with Montgomery today. S. C. Ilildreths horse was sent on for the Mount Boval Handicap. J. B. Hagglns South American shipment of thoroughbreds left America today. It consisted of six stallions, twenty broodmares and eighty-seven yearlings. The lot is consigned to Matt Byrnes, who is already at Buenos Ayres. Weather and track conditions for tomorrow are unfavorable. Todays steady downpour will probably render the going muddy.
