MR. DURYEAS FOREIGN RACING PLANS. New York, August 21. Word comes from abroad that Herman I!. Duryea has taken his horses out of France and shipped them across the channel to Jack Josner at Newmarket. The gelding, Ben Ban. which was shipped to France from this country last fall to learn the art of jumping, is still on the south side of the channel, but is in no condition for racing. After showing some aptitude as a hurdler Ben Ban fell lame. Mr. Duryea does not expect to race in France again until the foals of the mares he shipped abroad last fall, which were dropped in France last spring, attain racing age. That will be in 1911. These youngsters, by American stallious out of American mares, are eligible for all French races because they are considered native-bred.
