WHITNEY HAS BIG DAY IN ENGLAND. Three of His Horses Successful, Two Winning at Manchester and One at Hurst Park. London. Eng., September IS. The Eglinton Selling Nursery Handicap of ,000, for two-year-olds, distance live furlongs, was won at Manchester touav bv II. P. Whitneys filly. Littoral, by Hamburg Longshore. Firefly was second and Seppuku third. Eight horses ran. The Wilton Handicap of ,000. for three-vear-olds and upward, was won bv Bakers Bov. Vigilance was second and II. I. Whitneys Bobbin was third. The Michaelmas Plate of 500 sovereigns, for two-year-olds, distance five furlongs, was won bv II. P. Whitneys colt by Hamburg, out of Blue Girl. The Chatlinch was second and Duuraven third. Seven horses ran. The Prince Edward Handicap of 2,000 sovereigns, for three-year-olds and upward, distance one mile and a quarter, was won by Succour. Christmas Daisy was second and Adversary third. August Relmonts Norman III. was among the thirteen starters. II. P. Whitneys colors were also successful at Hurst Park today in the Vyner .Handicap of 150 sovereigns, for three-year-olds and upward, distance seven furlongs, which was won by his four-vear-old bay gelding. Delirium, by Sandringham Forget. Miss Nick was second and Limner third. Twelve horses ran. The Stewards Nursery Handicap of 150 sovereigns, for two-year-olds, distance five furlongs, was won by Louvignv. Shebeen was second and the Wise Saw filly third. Among the thirteen starters was J. R. Keenes Suffragist. Oruuil won the Autumn Handicap of 700 sovereigns, for three-year-olds and upward, distance one mile, with Fallen Angel second and Procope third. Among the seven starters was Mr. Whitneys Stamina.
