STAKE RACING OF THE PRESENT WEEK. .In the course of racing at Gravesend this week, six stake races will be decided. The first, the Occidental Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, at a., mile and a quarter, will be run tomorrow, the names of the probable contestants being presented In the entry lists published in this issue of Daily Racing Form. The Willow Handicap, at Ave and a half furlongs, for two-year-old fillies, will be decided Tuesday. Livonia. Schoolmarm, Jacquclina. Angerona. Indian Maid, Louise. S.. Cherryola, Star-port, Sylvia Dunbar. Intrinsic, Sticker, Mexoana. Fair Louise and Louise Welles have all raced well atd a decidedly interesting1 race seems in prospect. Wednesday afternoon will have the Kings Highway Steeplechase as its stake attraction. It is a longT established race and has a fair representation of the good jnmpers of the day engaged. The Holly Stakes, for two-year-olds, over the about six furlongs course, will be run Thursday. Formerly a handicap, it has been made a selling race this year, and Dullcare, Schoolmarm, General MacGregor. Collnet, Little King. Elfin Beau. Ostend, Cherryola, Sfttrport. Intrinsic. Pretend, Mexoana. Interpose. Hildas Sister, Ben Loyal and Fountain Square figure prominently in its entry list. The Prospect Haridi, cap, for two-year-olds, over the same course, and the Oriental Handicap, for all ages, at a mile and three-sixteenths, will be run Saturday. Waldo, Dalmatian, Grasmcre. Cherryola, Eauntleroy. Eye White. Joe Morris. Starbottle. Chickasaw, Louise S., Barleythorpe. Shannon, Candleberry, Fighting Bob, Sticker, Reybourn and Uncas Chief are amon? those likely to furnish a big field of starters for the Pros- Sect. In the Oriental are such good ones as King ames. Maskette, Uncle. Firestone, Fitz Herbert. Olambala; Wintergreen, Field Mouse, Sir John Johnson. Etherial, Angelus. Half Sovereign. Dorante. Kings Daughter, Wis Mason, Moiuette, Wintergreen and Far West. At Toronto the Dominion Handicap, for three-year1 olds .bred in Canada, a dash of a mile, with ,500 ndded,- will be run tomorrow. Tuesday has the Michaelmas Handicap, for tvo-yoar-olds:: Wednesday the Durham Cup and Voltigeur Plate; Thursday the Epsom Handicap and Minoru Plate, and Saturday the Grey Stakes. Ontario Jockey Club Handicap and HeJldrie Steeplechase. These events have attracted the pick of the horses racing in Canada, as well as some from New York and Kentucky, and are sure, to foe productive of interesting and well-contested racing: The Louisville meeting opens next Saturday. It has no stake races, the mistaken policy of making it an affair of pure racing only having been adopted.
