Stromeland, close up for the first half, dropped out of contention at the three-quarters post, but came again in the stretch and finished gamely. Goes Fast had no mishaps and tired badly when hard urged in the last quarter. Woolstone, in the worst going for the first three-quarters, tired -badly In the last furlong. Larente, much 1 tho best was caught in a jam soon after the start and almost thrown, was then taken wide most of the trip but finished with a rush and won as her rider pleased. Kilo-watt showed the most early speed and 1 wa lucky, but tired badly in the last furlong. Kilo was prominent for three furlongs, but quit in the last t eighth. Ballycastle showed the most speed and fenced well over the first, thirteen Jumps, hut made n bad landing at the last obstacle and fell in a heap, would have won cantering but for the mishap uhd was remounted and finished in the time limit for second place. Olive Ely was sent into a long lead after going a half, but began tiring in the stretch, though holding on gamely In the final drive. King of Mist was in the worst going for the major part of the trip and had to be hard ridden in the stretch to hold third place. The Earl retired after going a good half.
