The Finn might have had a [lossihle excuse for not finishing closer up as he was Impeded and Burlingame had to go around the other horses with him. but at that his showing was a dull one. Coquette, it was expected, would he a forward eoh-lemler but her usual high flight of speed was lacklnu. Her rider. P.utwell. had her under a choking pull all the way down the backstrctch and iu the homestretch she was behind the others and never iu a contending position.
