Dearys much Improved Saratoga, which heretofore had fouud it a formidable task lo win selling races. Saratoga today followed the fast pace set by Trial by Jury and when called on after rounding the stretch turn easily drew away to win with ridiculous ease hv a big margin in the fast time of 1:45. The Finn aud Coquette, first and second choices, respectively, were outpaced for the entire way and finitdied un placed. The Finn might have had a [lossihle excuse for not finishing closer up as he was Impeded and Burlingame had to go around the other horses with him. but at that his showing was a dull one. Coquette, it was expected, would he a forward eoh-lemler but her usual high flight of speed was lacklnu. Her rider. P.utwell. had her under a choking pull all the way down the backstrctch and iu the homestretch she was behind the others and never iu a contending position.
