Webb, Black Gold, the Kentucky Derby winner, arrived here this afternoon after the running of the second race and, ac-• cempanied by his pony, Mrs. Hoots champion paraded down the stretch en route from the unloading chute to his stable. The colt was a target for the camera men as he reached the judges stand and his presence was the cause for prolonged applause from the enthusiastic crowd. The son of Black Toney and Lseeit appeared a trifle light in flesh to critical horsemen. He unloaded in good condition and appeared none the worse for his trip. He will no doubt rule a decided favorite for the initial running of the Ohio State Derby here on Saturday. On his arrival trainer Webb received an invitation from secretary Trimble to take Black Gold to Omaha to meet Runstar in a special match race of 0,000 at one mile, to be run June 21. Mr. Webb had not had time to consider the offer and would not give an answer at present as to his refusal or acceptance. In any event Black Gold will be shipped to Latonia from here to fill his engagement in the Latonia Derby.
