TURF NEWS OF THE DAY FROM BELMONT PARK NEW YORK. N. Y.. May 22. Trainer K. Karrick has decided not to ship W. R. Coes I.ady Belle to Louisville to fulfill her engagement in the Kentucky Oaks. The filly has trained off and will be given a short rest. Alec Gordon has ordered a car for Wednesday to ship H. c. Fishers Nellie Morse, Preakness winner, to lx uisville. for her engagement in the Kentucky Oaks to be run at Churchill Downs. Jockey J. Merrimee will go west to ride the filly. Harry L. Shaw has accepted the offer of the Business Mens 1 lacing Association to manage the Palm Garden at the Fair Grounds meeting next winter. Luke A. Cassidy leaves today for a business trip to Miami. Fla., in connection with the construction of the track at that point Charles Primrose was an arrival from San Francisco and will remain for the remainder of the racing season. Max Hirsch has Sarazen back In training after his let-up that followed disappointing race at Jamaica.
