MURRAY closed up fact when in the stretch and outgamed JACK FAIKMAN. The latter began slowly, but raced to the front with a rush in the first quarter and set a great pace to the stretch, then tired. MARCELLA ROY finished fast. PERHAIS ran well to the stretch, but tired in the last eighth.
