l I BOWIE TRACK NOTES BOWIE. Md.. April 13. J. F. Rurdette claimed Rupee for ,500 out of the fifth race. E. L. Snyder claimed Merrimae out of the same race for ,000. Two claims were filed in the final race Friday. J. F. Richardson took Sir Leonid for ,500. while H. M. Dixon took Asa Jewell for a like amount. J. Weidler, who looks after the claims in the secretarys office, reports that eighteen horses have changed hands the first nine days of the meeting via the claiming route. Warning was claimed from D. L. Richards by Mrs. S. Wilson for ,500. West wood was claimed by Mrs. A. Swenke from the last race Saturday for ,500. H. D. "Curly" Brown was a visitor of the day. John S. Mosby. three times winner at the meeting, was excused from starting in the fourth race for the reason that he was in-: jured by a kick while at the post Saturday. The Flamingo Farm Stables good juvenile Centrifugal came out of his last race suffering from a kick received at the post and for that reason was scratched from the first race. R. Tending claimed Vitamin from J. M. Collins from the third race for ,500. Leonard 1. Bedwell, son of H. 1. Bedwell, was married at Yarrow Brae Farm near Laurel, Md., to Miss Selma Diven of that town. Young Bedwell will ship the stable which he campaigned at Tijuana to Iimlico tomorrow. ♦
