SCORES SEVENTH ViCTORY Jones Stock Farm Colors Again Triumphant at Huntington. ♦ Go Foin Carries Them Successfully in New Bonnet Purse, Feature of Mondays Program. ♦ HUNTINGTON, W. Va.. April 13.— The Jones Stock Farm Stable won its seventh victory of the present meeting when" Go Foin. after racing in close pursuit of Jedburgh I Abbey to the stretch, took command an ! | eighth out and was triumphant in the New j Bonnet Purse, fiftli and feature race of the washday card at the Tr! -State Fair course | ; this afternoon. Jedburgh Abbey was as easily 1 best of the others. During the stretch 1 racing Rough and Ready disposed of Dorothy i | Buckner for third place with little effort. Favorable conditions again prevailed and the attendance was of mid-week proportions, j | Lucky Dollar and Zainer provided a stir- ! j ring stretch struggle in the initial race. The : former proved the gamer when the final test came, earning the verdict by a narrow margin. Black Ruler held the others safe all j | the last quarter. ! Racing prominently to the stretch Red I Seth moved up on the outside of the lead- ! ; ers in the final eighth of the second and out- ! gamed Wilton Flanna. The latter displayed j the most early speed but tired slightly in the finish drive. Mary G. forced the pace until midway of the stretch, then tired. I The Almoner cut out the running to the stretch in the third race with Louise Wagner I and George Starr in close pursuit. In the j final eighth Georga Starr gradually wore | down the leaders and got up to beat The : Almoner in the last few strides. Lough Storm came from the rear to get third. Taking command at once. My Biddy showed the way by a comfortable margin through the running of the fourth race which marked the second winner for jockey L. Wilson. During the stretch struggle Miss Fortune shook off Hoover for second place. Edward A. Pohlman was a visitor to Northampton Park. Akron. Ohio, over the week-end and reports that 379 horses are already on the scene awaiting the opening of the meeting there next week. A shipment of 226 horses will go from here to Akron at the close of this meeting. B. Ward Beam, general manager at Fort Miami, Toledo, was a visitor. He reports that the grandstand, partly de.-troyed by fire last fall, will be rebuilt and greatly enlarged this spring. Winchester has been added to the sehool- ing list. Corcnne was excuse today, having gone off her feed since Saturday. Dr. Mae- Millan developed a temperature today and was withdrawn. R. Shelly was an arrival today from Louisville. Ky., and will serve as assistant racing secretary and paddock judge. Gene Bray has resigned. R. F. Carman has made reservations for ten head of horses for the Wheeling. W. Va., meeting. Clyde Freeman wired that he will ship ■ to the Akron meeting sixteen heaa from Bowie. For rough riding in the last race on Satur- day jockey S. Holicko was set down for five days.
