i . 9 RACELAND AND DADE PARK Make Satisfactory Arrangements for Settlement of License Tax — Will Ask for Racing Dates. LEXINGTON. Ky., April 17.— At a meeting held in the office of Governor W. J. Fields at Frankfort today satisfactory arrangements were made by the Tri-State Fair and Racing Association, owners of Raceland, the new track near Ashland and the Dade Park Jockey Club, operating Dade Park, near Henderson for settlement of their obligations to the state of Kentucky for license tax during 1925 and the State Racing Commission will be advised that it is agreeable to state commission, revenue agent and other state officials that dates shall be granted for meetings at Raceland and Dade Iark. Raceland is asking for fifteen days, beginning July 5 and ending July IL Dade Parks application has not been placed before the commission as yet, but it is likely that it will he before that body when it meets here next Tuesday. July 5 is the cluing day at Iatonia, but Col. Matt J. Winn, general manager of the Kentucky Jockey Club is agreeable to Race-land having the benefit of the Fourth of July holiday, which will be on the fifth, the two tracks being so far apart as to location that the conflict on this holiday will not be disturbing. Present at the meeting today were Governor Fields. State Auditor W. H. Shanks, State Tax Commissioner Seldon Glenn, State Revenue Agent Dr. Milton Board. Attorney Harry Kremer, for the state revenue agent. Attorney K. B. Andrews for Dade Park ; Attorney R. I* Northcutt for Raceland and C. H. Berryman, Ken Williamson, .1. O. Keene and Thomas K. Cromwell, officers of the Tri-State Fair and Pacing Association.
