FLOWER GIRL set a fast pace all the way and outfinished PINK LILY gamely. The latter gained rapidly in the last three-eighths, and was overtaking the winner with every stride. SICKY raee-d close up and finished fast. DISETTE was hard ridden from the start, showed the most speed for three— eighths, but quit. PAFLINA L. raced well. TECO was forced wide all the way and raced we-il. GI.KB could never reach the leaders. POOR SPORT improved his position on the outside and closed a big gap. SI N SWEPT lac keel early spce-d, but finished fast. SPARKLING WATER ra. e d close- up throughout. EDDIE RICKEMIACIIER ran fairly well. DONGES met with interference and closed a gap, but quit badly in the last sixteenth. CLINGING VINE finished well. 1BBV cpiit soon after the start. The latter acted very badly at the post, but began well and was slowly wearing the winner down at the end. Won easily: second and third driving. FRESCO, close up from the start, came on the outside of the leaders in the final drive, and. taking the lead midway of the home stretch, was hard held all through the last sixteenth. FANTASTIC raced DIGXCS into defeat, but tired after taking a brief lead. DICMS showed the most early speed, but could not keep the lead when challenged. CANDY MAY raced under restraint for the greater part of the race. HEARTACHE and glUTIT EASEL could never get into a forward position. "i OPT Oft FIFTH RACE— 3-4 Mile. Won driving; second and third the same. CANTER raced close up on the outside of the early leaders and, moving up to ROLLS ROYCE with a rush, after rounding the far turn, took the lead, after passing the eighth post, and held PRINCE OF WALES safe at the end. The latter was racing close to the heels of the leaders down the back stretch and had to be eased back to get to the outside, then responded with a rush in the final drive and finished resolutely. ROLLS ROYCE showed a great improvement and the most speed for five-eighths and saved ground where possible, but tired in the final drive. BLONDIN finished with a belated rush on the mtside. KM* AC AN raced close up under restraint for the first three-quarters and, responding readily when called on, came to the outside of the leaders for the final drive and, hard ridden, got up to win in the last stride. RIP RAP forced a fast early pace and raced into the lead for a brief period at the eighth post, when SCAPA FLOW swerved against the fence, then came again and would have won in a few more strides. SCAPA FLOW began quickly and showed extreme speed in fast pacemaking, and was taken under stout restraint after reaching the back stretch, then was shaken up when challenged and was racing fast when he swerved against the fence before reaching the last eighth, then finished gamely after the mishap. VOSHELL. under slight restraint in the early stages, saved ground, but tired in the final stride. KING ONEILL II. moved up menacingly rounding the far turn, but tired. ALLETACHE raced well.
