: BOOS TRAINING FOR DERBY F Goes Mile and a Quarter in 2 : 1 1 % Under Restraint Throughout — Other Candidates Work LEXINGTON. Ky.. April 2S.--Col. E. R. Bradleys Kentucky Derby candidate. Boo, occupied the limelight at the local track of the Kentucky Association this morning, when with Goldie Johnson in the saddle, the » LnWum Derby winner was giw his second - slow gallop of the season over the Derby-distance ,- of one mile and a quarter. Nothing - sensational was attempted in the workout, - it being the intention of the colts s trainer. William Hurley, to give him only a i slow gallop. Breaking from the stand and 1 kept under stout restraint throughout, he [■ went the first mile in 1 :44-"h;. mile and an eighth in 1 :57% and the mile and a quarter r in 2:11%. After permitting the colt to "breeze" the first mile, Johnson tightened 1 his hold thereafter, and he was pulled up at t the end of the ten «furlongs. The work was eminently satisfactory to his stable connections. - Thistle Gold, in the stable of G. Collins, . worked an easy mile in 1 :44Vs. He went t the seven-eighths handily in 1 :2SS and was s pulled up the last eighth of the mile. Thistle Boy. another from the same stable, . was "breezed" one mile in 1 :46s. The Idle Hour Farm Stables Birley M. C. was given a speed test of three-eighths in ■ ::i6 as iinal preparation for his race Friday, • and Mirafel. owned by M.
