The latter raced closest to the leader all the way, finished resolutely and wore him down. BOXWOOD lost some ground on the first turn, but finished well. BBC ; PARDON had no mishaps. PETER BRUSH, shuffled back on the first turn, was taken to the outside and. gaining rapidly, finished fastest of all. FREEMASON raced HELEN OK IMI into early defeat, but was tiring at the end. RAISING SAND ran well. The latter moved up with a rush on the back stretch, closed resolutely in the last eighth and would have keen second in a few more strides. MARY G. quit after showing some early speed. EASTER LADDIE was in a jam at the first turn: was forced to be taken up. but moved up again, only to bleed and waa eased up.
