ST I ROY STELLA began fast and was under restraint to the stretch turn, from where she raced into the lead with a rush, but had to be ridden hard near UK end to outfintsh til • TEA. The latter began fast and raced close up from the start and. after losing some giound on the stretch turn by coming wide, finished gamely. XECUECY also came wide on the stretch turn and had to be ridden bard to pit up for third place. SUPPORTER showed the most speed for a half mile and began tiring. ORESTES 1L, close up from the start, came with a great rush through the stretch when ridden hard and raced into the lead when n sixteenth out to win drawing clear. ANACONDA was forced back soon after the start, but saved much ground on the turns and finished gamely. HOT TIME was forced to race fast in the early running and begaa tiring after racing CONQUISTADOR into defeat. CONQUISTADOR acted badly at the post and was away poorly, then showed fine speed, but ;ut badly when reaching tne last sixteenth. SEVENTEEN SIXTY ran poorly. VOSHEI.L ran far below his true form.
