BLUE ROSE, away wdl, was forced to fight her way thiasarb a narrow opening in the stretch, but finished gr.mtly and got up to win in the last stride. BLUEMONT set the early pace, but was repeatedly bumped in the stretch by MAGNUS, but for which he would probably have been the winner. MAGNUS rated into the lead with a rush, but his rider was unable to keep him straight and his mount repeatedly crowded the first two horses all through the last quarter. MOUNTAINEER raced wide all the way and finished gamely. BESPITS quit. PATSY McDONALD, far below her true form, can do better. The latter suffered from slight interference, then was tr.!:on to ti.o outside and finished fast. SHOWERY tired badly after leading for a half mile. GREEN FLAG suffered from crowding early. PILEAS GO BEATS dropped back soon afler tiie start and was always outrun. He pulled up lame. OPEN HAND ran a good race.
