BELMONT PARK NOTES | e f NEW YORK, N. T., June 8. George Emener, former sheriff of Queens County, returned Thursday from Stuart, Fla., where he was engaged in a tarpon fishing tournament. Mr. Emener is a daily visitor at Belmont Park and other Long Island tracks. W. Booth, James Healy, J. Mahoney, J. Hastings, W. J. Norton, E. J. Kennedy, D. D. Odell, T. B. Gay, J. Whalen, T. McCreary, R. A. Smith, J. Kermath, V. Powers, W. Wright and Max Hirsch have signified their intention of shipping divisions of their stables to Breokline Park, wheh opens next week. Sixty horses are in the first movement to leave here on Tuesday. James McDonald, Bob McKeever and P. J. Kearns ship to Blue Bonnets at Montreal. A. B. Hancock was an arrival Thursday from Kentucky for a few days of racing. J. O. Keene was highly pleased with the showing of Jean Valjean in his start here. Mr. Keene had an added interest in the race, for he was the breeder of Battleship Grey. Roy Waldron has disposed of the contract he hold on the apprentice Edward Watters to K. E. Hilt. Watters is one of the best prospects that has been shown in the East for some time and several of the leading stables were dickering for the lads services. Joe McLennan came down from Toronto and distributed condition books for the coming meeting to be held at Blue Bonnets. S. C. Hildreth reported that Nassak had been returned to training and that he would be seen under colors before the Saratoga meeting. He also stated that it was through an error that Donnay was named through the entry box for the National Stallion Stakes. Nearby and Ritzy have been added to the schooling list. «
