EMPLETTE ON THE SHELF OTTAWA. Ont., June 8— Frank Byera, who has the Edward Arlington horses in charge, reported that while loading the good two-year-old Emplette at the loading chute at Toronto for Connaught Park the filly slipped off the chute and suffered some seAere cuts and lacerations that will keep her away from the races for a month or more. At present the Grey Lag filly is here with the others of the Arlington stable and is being given careful attention, as she is considered one of the best of the youngsters in the Arlington band.
