C0NNAUGHT PARK NOTES e . 4 OTTAWA, Ont., June 8. Jockey F. Silas, who rode Seths Hope to victory in the feature race Thursday at Con-naught Park, lost the use of his apprentice allowance. G. Gleason, who also had the use of the allowance, is now a full-fledged rider, as his term of one year expired yesterday. On Saturday, the post time for the beginning of the days matinee has been moved back to allow a few extra moments to take care of those who cannot get away at an earlier hour. The first race will be called to the starting point at 3 p. m. Jockey A. Carew, who rode Racing Star In the final race Thursday, was •upended for the remainder of the meeting in addition to being fined 5 by the stewards for cross- ing over on his field in the run to the first turn. i-iouis Antrevine, clerk of the course at Montreal Jockey Club, arrived here to interview horsemen who contemplate racing at Blue Bonnets, where the next meeting under the jurisdiction of the Canadian Racing Associations will take pla/e. Mr. Angevine is very optimistic regarding the meeting at Montreal and predicts that the forthcoming one will exceed all others.
