RICH BELMONT STAKES i NEW YORK, N. Y., June 8— Only five are named for the historical Belmont Stakes, the premier attraction of tomorrows closing day program at Belmont Park. The Belmont Stakes is one of the richest of American stake fixtures. Last year, when Chance Shot won, it was worth 0,910. The net value this year will exceed that figure. Established in 18CT, the Belmont Stakes has had an eventful history, in which the varying fortunes of the American are interwoven with some of our most noted horses among its winners and placed horses.
