WEIGHTS FOR TORONTO CUP Display and Genie Assigned 121 Pounds Each in Woodbines Feature Handicap. TORONTO, Ont., May 16.— W. P. Frazer, secretary of the Ontario Jockey Club, today announced the weights for the Toronto Cup Handicap, the 5,000 added money ""stake for three-year-olds and over, one mile and an eighth, which will feature the racing on May 24 at Woodbine Park. Walter J. Salmons "iron horse," Display, and Gifford A. Cochrans Genie, head the handicap with imposts of 121 pounds each in actual weight. On the scale, however, the four-year-old Genie gives his rix-year-old rival one pound, Display having seven pounds off and Genie six pounds off. Sortie and Mowlee are in with 120 pounds each, while the imported Royal Stranger is handicapped at 116 pounds. Display won this stake in 1927 as a four-year-old under 120 pounds, defeating Ruskin and Harry Baker, also four-year-olds, which carried fifteen pounds less each. Last years winner of the rich prize was Displays stable-mate, Sunfire, which races under the colors of R. T. Wilson. A three-year-old, he carried 103 pounds to victory over the five-year-old Canter and Aucilla. Secretary Frazer also published the ratings for the timber-toppers which were nominated for the Aintree Steeplechase Handicap, a ,000 stake at about 2 miles, which will be the companion feature to the Kings Plate on opening day, Saturday, at Woodbine Park. The Dorwood Stables Eider is in top place. His impost is 158 pounds. Jefferson Livingstons French bred fencer, Le Bey, is in with 150 pounds.
