RIP FIELD, after delaying the start, took the had at once and, showing the most speed, held it •asilv- and won in a canter. SOUTHLAND TAL, after beginning in close quarters, suffered from crowding in the first quarter, then lost ground when entering the stretch, but, finishing fast, headed HARAMZADA in the final strides. The latter showed much speed from the start and finished gamely. COLONEL HENRY was hard ridden throughout and had no mishaps. ROYAL YEOMAN began in a tauglo. MINO, away fast, soon passed SMOLDERING and HOT SHOT into the lead, then drew away when approa. Ling the last turn and, coming fast through the stretch, won easing up. SMOLDERING began last, but was taken back in the first quarter, then moved up menacingly after entering the stretch and •tired in tie final drive. PERCENTAGE raced well and outf inished CUDDLE. The latter raced wide, but close up from the start, but tired near the end. HOT SHOT showed early speed. FLORIDA GOLD Was alwavs outrun. KENTUCKY ACE, well ridden, followed the early pacemaker closest under restraint to the stretch, where, after passing GRAND DAD into the lead, came en gamely and held FLATTERY safe. The latter raced wide, but moved fast after reaching the stretch and tired after heading GRAND DAD in the last eighth. GRAND DAD showed the most early speed, saved ground where possible and fiuished fairly well. OREGON FIR began slowly. BIG CHIEF had no mishaps. Scratched — i30176Di;elist, 110. The latter, close up from the start, moved up after reaching the stretch and tired right at the end. REIGH OLGA, forced back repeatedly, came with a rush after coming to the outside in the stretch. CLOG DAXCH showed the most speed to the final eighth. NICHELSON, taken back repeatedly, failed to respond when hard ridden in the stretch. GARD. NER DERR was done early. The latter worked her way between some of the others moving up on the stretch turn and made a strong bid in the entire final quarter, but waa not good enough. MARTINIQUE finishtd with a rush. DIXIB PRINCE worked his way up fast and held on gamely. BEAUMONT tired after showing speed to the stretch. PATUXANT was poorly ridden. DANDYBRUSH tired.
