NAE BREEKS showed the most speed, won all the way and finished easing up. ROCKY WAY raced on the inside and, saving ground on the turns, gained gradually and got up to outfinish FOLLOW ME. The latter, always close up, came fast on the outside in the final eighth, but tired near the end. CLEAR STAR, on the outside, raced well to the stretch before tiring. CATCH niM was always outpaced. HIGn SPOT showed early speed, but was done in the stretch. BALL GEE raced poorly. LADY PARTRIDGE, raced on the outside of the leaders and, forcing a good pace despite losing ground on the turns, came fast in the final eighth and got tip to outfinish SUPBRFRANK. The latter raced close up on the inside, saved much ground, made a rush from near the last eighth and finished well. BIDABLE was far back to the stretch, then came through fast between the leaders and nosed BEOWULF out in the final stride. BEOWULF also closed up much ground and finished well. ILLUMINE set the pace to the stretch, but tired badly in the last sixteenth. EMPHATIC quit after racing forwardly for the first half mile. KIT CARSON, racing in suddenly and vastly improved form, raced CLEM into defeat when entering the stretch and raced into a good lead, but was tiring badly in the final sixteenth and was forced out to the limit to hold VOSHELL safe. The latter was outpaced for the first three-eighths, then gained rapidly and, finishing fast on the outside, was gaining on the winner. STURDY STELLA had to race on the outside and ran well, but began tiring in the final drive. NEVERMORE was hard ridden and saved ground where possible, but tired. MARY-DALE showed brief early speed. DON FERNANDO raced into the lead on the far turn and held sway to the stretch, then, after being headed by ULUNIU, came again and outgamed the latter through the final seventy yards. ULUNIO closed a big gap in the first three-eighths and, coming on the inside in the stretch, took the lead, but was outfiuislied. VIMONT raced forwardly after going the first quarter and threatened the leaden when entering the stretch, but tired when forced to a drive. THISTLE STAR saved ground on the turns and had no mishaps. OJO set the pace to the far turn and tired alter being sharply crossed by COMMON GOLD as the latter took the lead. CATESBY, was done after going three-quarters. MEItRV PAL quit. JOHN JOHNSON, JR., raced close up under restraint for the first three-quarters and, coming fast •n the inside when in the stretch, gradually passed the leaders and, outfinishing FRANK McMAHON, won k«uiiig away. The latter, much improved, raced forwardly on the outside and took a brief lead when an I eighth away, but failed to withstand the winner. SEMPER FELIX closed up much ground from a »low beginning and finished fastest of all. PANDY raced ALABAMA BOUND into defeat and took J the lead but was done in the stretch. ALABAMA BOUND set the early pace, then was forced along at a gnod pace by PANDY until he quit.
