SANTA SOPHIA, outrun early, came with a rush at the end. GODIVA raced well throughout and finished well. ISLAND CREEK tired. NORMA JEAN raced fairly well all the way. 1 OLIMBA pulled up very lame. MI VIDA was away fast and, setting a good pace for the going, raced WEE BURN into early de- I teat and, withstanding a challenge from SANFORD after entering the stretch, won going away. The latter was saved in the early running, but moved up fast after rounding the far turn and was tiring at the finish. WAR WHOOP finished resolutely. WEE BURN was eased up when he tired. THE TATTLER showed early speed and finished well. HUMANIST was taken back in the early running •nd saved ground when entering the stretch, then came with a belated rush. FINIR raced well. SUNVIR improved his position steadily and moved up fast in the stretch, but swerved towards the inside at the sixteenth post. SUN HATTER ran well, but tired badly at the end. MARINE was outrun and could not get up. SAFETY PIN tired badly. COMSTOCKERY swerved towards the inside when entering the stretch.
