FISS AND FEATHERS, quick to start, opened up a clear advantage in the opening quarter, saved ground and, increasing her margin after reaching the stretch, was not endangered thereafter. WINGING raced in closest pursuit of the leader under mild pressure, swerved when punished severely in the stretch and just lasted for second place. SCOTLAND FOREVER began slowly and raced in close quarters most of the way, but finished resolutely and displayed soreness after the race. VERA C moved up on the turn, then held on fairly well. HOT SHOT sprinted into a commanding lead, saved ground and, holding on resolutely when tiring, outstayed YUCATAN. The latter raced close up from the start, saved ground on the stretch turn and, making a fast finish, outstayed ESKIMO. The latter, hard ridden after reaching the turn, held on stubbornly. DEEP RIVER began slowly, but finished fast while saving ground in the stretch. VIRADO lost much ground and raced well. MY HOBBY was outrun. OUI MONSIEUR quit. The latter, close up after a half mile, raced wide, but finished gamely. MINERVUS forced the pace without much effort, moved up when entering the stretch, then tired. CI1UM began slowly and under a poor ride, was kept behind hors s all through the stretch. ADELOT set a fast pace from the start, bnt tired badly. F1BE UNDKR raced well.
