1 ARLINGTON TURF NOTES f $ ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., June 20. H. T. Archibald, whose extensive candy manufacturing business is located in Chicago, has arranged to race his large stable at Arlington in the care of trainer George Arvin. Mr. Archibald has entered Folking, a splendid son of Negofol and Mary King, for the American Classic and North Shore Handicap ; Folamile, Crystal Domino, Candy Hog and others for the stakes for horses of mature years. Major L. A. Beard, who will serve as one of the stewards at Arlington, is a newcomer to western racing. But in the East he is one of the best known and most popular sportsmen in that section, where he has long been identified with various sports. He is a noted polo players and for many years has been in charge of the extensive thoroughbred breeding interests of Harry Payne Whitney. The Rosedale Stable of George Clark, eastern sportsman, will be raced at Arlington in charge of trainer Walter A. Carter, who is due to arrive with the stable next week. The stable has named both Live Oak and Indentor for the American Classic. Dangerous and Gormond, both sons of Negofol, are eligible to all of the stakes for horses of mature years. The stable is represented in the Cherry Circle Claiming Stakes by Juggler and Molerito. William Pinch, who is in charge of the stable of Otto W. Lehmann, president of the American National Jockey Club, formerly trained the stables of a number of wealthy sportsmen in England, where he enjoyed an excellent reputation.
