IMPERTINENT followed in close attendance of the leaders, came with a rush in the final drive and. gaining a slight lead at the final eighth post, came away steadily at the end. DARK RANGE. slow to begin and far back, linished with good speed. HEAVENLY MLSIC, prominent all the way, held on well. AKl.lTCS moved up fast approaching the stretch turn, but swerved badly. EH PENHLETON, away slowly and outrun for the first five-eighths, made an extremely wide turn Into the stretch, tint finished gamely and took command in the last sixteenth. CUT RUSH, after beginning fast, was allowed to drop out of contention, but finished gamely in the- final stages. AFTON. Flow to begin, closed a big gap. MUNNING went into a long lead on the turn, but swung very wide into the home stretch and lost all chance. SHlP raced evenly. GOELAND had no excuses, FIRE ALARM bad early speed. ELLA RlFLS. rated close to the leaders, moved into the lead when released from restraint, opened op a winning lead and held PYGMALION safe. The latter, close up from the start, was placed under punishment in the last half mile and finished with good courage. OMNIA set a good pace while saving ground, but tired in the final drive. MISS GAIKTY II., reserved for the first five-eighths, was forced to race on the outside In the early stages, saved ground when making her move entering the stretch, reached the leaders with good speed and drew away steadily when in front. PI.AGIER worked his way into contention slowly, withstood a drive gamely and outstayed GALOIIN DIAMOND. The latter took the lead, had much taken out of him racing with BREVET and had nothing left for the final drive. BREVET showed good speed, tint tired through the final stages. The latter, racing in her best form, made up ground fast and was wearing the winner down at every stride. LADY EDNA raced along with tin* leaders throughout and continued gamely when put to a drive. FIRST EDITION ran a good race. ACROSTIC began tiring after three-quarters. Scratched— 37704 Sweetest Song, 103. Overweight — Acrostic, 1 pound.
