MANTA READY FOR OAKS LEXINGTON, Ky., April 10. II. Cav-anaugh, avIio is training Brownell Combs Manta, one of the leading candidates for the Ashland, Ky., Latonia and Illinois Oaks, reports that the daughter of Cudgel and Pa-loma came out of her fast mile work yesterday in fine fettle. She is a certain starter for the local Oaks coming up on April 23 and in that race, over one mile and a sixteenth, may encounter Alcibiades, Ellice, Lady Fingers, Kincsen, Monnie, Niato and others from among the best three-year-old fillies in these parts.
