RESERVE FAIRM0UNT STALLS Horsemen Warned Not to Ship to Collinsville Unless Already Assigned Stable Room. COLLINSVILLE, 111., April 10. Racing secretary Julius Reeder announced there are exactly 313 horses on the grounds in training for the opening of the Fairmount . Jockey Clubs meeting. May 10. He said all stable assignments have been made and advises horsemen not to ship here unless their applications have been approved. Placide Frigerio, track superintendent, has a large corps of men at work resurfacing the track and attending to the usual preliminary work. George Ensminger, golf professional, in charge of the Fairmount golfing adjunct, announces nine holes will be completed for the opening day of the races. This is a new feature which goes with club house membership. General manager Robert Eddy, Jr., will arrive here Friday to prepare for the forty-nine day meeting, which has as a feature the Fairmount Derby on May 24. Nominations for this stake close May 10. Brown Wisdom, Flag Bearer and My Dandy are among the outstanding older horses on the grounds. Longus and Wizardry are the Derby candidates in training. More than a half dozen applications were turned down today because of no stable room. There will be approximately 750 horses on -the grounds. The secretarys office will be opened May 1. Richard Leigh, placing judge and handi-cappcr, arrived here today from New Orleans to assist secretary Reeder in the preliminary work. Work on the permanent stall gate at the three-quarters chute is "well under way and should be completed by the end of this week. Two Waite gates will be used in addition to this apparatus.
