LUCKY DRIFT had the most speed throughout and was never in serious trouble. SUNOLIN saved ground throughout and outstayed LANG in the final drive. The latter worked his way up on the outside and tired in the last sixteenth. ROBERTA L. closed much ground. GAY BROECK. went well for the first half mile, then tired badly. BELLES TITLE slipped through next to the inuer rail on the first turn and, taking command, held the race safe thereafter. GETGOIN closed fast on the outside round the last turn and finished gamely in the stretch. CROONING showed a good effort after racing in close quarters most of the way. RED I.IKKER closed a big gap.
