GIGANTIC, away slowly, moved into contention rapidly and, saving ground entering the stretch, drew clear with little effort to win with speed in reserve. ROYAL MYSTERY, quickest to begin, displayed good speed, but bore out on the stretch turn and lost much ground, but responded gamely in the stretch iand held AULULARIA safe in the final drive. The latter, in close attendance Of the leaders in the 1 first quarter mile, was carried wide entering the stretch, but finished fast under pressure. STAR POLLY C saved a lot of ground in the final quarter mile and finished fast. AVALON, pinched back in the early 1 racing, saved ground thereafter. LOST AGNES followed the leaders in close quarters on the inside in the first half mile, came 1 to the outside entering the stretch and finished gamely. ST. TUSCAN was under pressure throughout. The latter, under restraint until midway around the lower turn, moved up gradually when called upon and would have won in a few strides more. HARRY REAL showed good early speed, but began to tire after going three-quarters, but was an easy going third. BLAZING CINCH, rated off the early pace, was forced to pull up when RE.IUAENATION quit front of him rounding the lower turn. The latter tired badly after going half a mile.
