EPIDEMIC REPORT DENIED LEXINGTON, Ky., April 23. Local breeders today denied a report current at the Havre de Grace race track in Maryland that a local epidemic of spinal meningitis is threatened and that several matrons have slipped because of the- disease, among them some of H. P. Whitneys matrons. Alajor Louis Beard", manager of the Whitney Studs, declared that there is no spinal meningitis at his farms. He said that about five cases of forage poisoning liad developed at various farms. While not of fatal intensity, said Major Beard, the number of cases is slightly above the average.
